Scott C. Nichols, BBA, EPC
Scott Nichols was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley. He graduated from Acadia University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Immediately following graduation and attending the University Training Program, Scott started his practice with London Life Insurance Company.
After his first couple of years in the business, he formally aligned his practice with a senior advisor within the company where he was mentored, learned advanced strategies and grew his individual practice. In 2012, he decided to hang his own shingle, opening what is now Harvest Wealth Management (formerly Nichols Wealth Management) while continuing to represent Freedom 55 Financial, a division of London Life Insurance Company. His dedication to helping his clients achieve their goals has allowed his practice to successfully grow and provide clients with the service and advice that they deserve.
In an effort to offer his clients an exceptional level of service, Scott has also obtained his Registered Candidate Status (Financial Planning Standards Council) and is en-route to finishing his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. In addition, Scott holds the Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designation, has completed the Canadian Securities Course, Branch Managers’ Examination and IFIC course, as well as internal advanced education courses offered though London Life.
Scott still makes his home the Annapolis Valley with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys an occasional round of golf, tinkering with home improvements, and enjoying time with his family.
Steve was born in Halifax and moved to the Annapolis Valley with his family in 1957. After completing high school, he studied at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the University of Guelph, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He joined London Life in Halifax in 1976, and he and his wife Patti moved back to the valley one year later where he has since been involved in all aspects of the Life Insurance and Financial Planning business. Steve has built his practice over the past 41 years by focusing on his client’s needs, building great relationships with them, and helping them to reach their planning goals.
Steve takes a very active role in the local community. In the past he has served on Kentville Town Council, the Kentville Rotary Club, and has been a member of many local boards and committees. In keeping with his ongoing love of agriculture, he has served two terms on the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board and is currently a member of the Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture Campaign Cabinet Committee.
In his spare time Steve enjoys working on the family farm, enjoying the cottage in Halls Harbour, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Dave spent four years at St. Francis Xavier University, from where he graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. In 2012, he joined London Life with the desire to focus on helping clients plan for financial success. He learned early on that earning the right to work with people is something that is not achieved overnight, and his commitment to his community and desire to help those around him are two traits that will be sure to help solidify his success both personally and professionally.
Dave currently lives in Greenwich, NS, where he is very actively involved in the community, playing and volunteering with a variety of sports & organizations. During the summer, he enjoys playing golf with his wife, Laura, and son, Hudson.
Megan (Verran) Wenckowski
Megan was born and raised in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. She spent her youth competing in elite sports in the Annapolis Valley and Halifax. Megan moved to Alberta for a short period of time where she completed her degree, and met her husband Barrett, a national champion volleyball player. After starting their family, they decided to return to Nova Scotia where their kids could grow up with Megan’s large extended family.
Megan started her career in the fitness and personal training industry. However, after moving back to Annapolis Valley she was seeking other career opportunities. Megan’s history of, and passion for, educating people on their physical and mental well-being has allowed her to easily transition to her new passion of educating people on their current and future financial well-being. Megan’s outgoing and compassionate personality puts her new and existing clients at ease.
Megan is enjoying growing her family and business in Middleton, Nova Scotia. She is currently a big part of the school and sport community with her husband and three children. In her few spare minutes she still loves to lace up her skates or cleats for her own enjoyment, as well as being spotted on the volleyball court due to her husband’s influence.
